The Wincanton Silver Band is a prominent part of Town life. They regularly entertain us throughout the town year, and take part in other local events like the Christmas Extravaganza. But for 2015 the limelight is firmly on the band. They are celebrating 125 years of bringing enjoyment to others through their music.

Although they have a pretty busy calendar for 2015 (see their website) one event stands out from the others. On Sunday 29th March (tomorrow!) they have their 125 year Anniversary Concert at 2.30pm at The Church of St. Teresa and St. Luke, South Street, Wincanton.

The band will be joined in the Concert by their own Training Band, and The Choir Wincanton, with proceeds going to St. Margaret’s Hospice.

Tickets: £6 (adults) on the door - Students free.

For information ring 01963 33072 and speak to Miriam Parsons.
