Bruton Beats Evercreech in Wyke Farms School Football League Final

Bruton Primary School 2 - 0 Evercreech Primary School

A goal either side of half time separated these two local rivals in a thrilling Wyke Farms School League Cup Final on Monday 17th December 2012. The game was played at an excellent pace and demonstrated the high standard of attacking football we had seen throughout the group stages.

In particular credit needs to be given to both goalkeepers and also defenders James Rowe (Evercreech), Jess Masters (Evercreech) and David Claxon (Bruton), who time after time pulled off tackles to deny opportunities. In addition it was Claxon's 20 yard screamer that broke the deadlock and sent Bruton on their way.

Congratulations to both sides on an excellent game, played in the right manner. Our thanks go to Castle Cary primary for hosting the final and a massive thank you to Wyke Farms whose sponsorship has allowed the league to run.
