Wincanton’s first Country Market was held in 1969. In those days it was part of the WI. For our market on 3rd May, we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary! Please come along and help us mark this special occasion.

Venue: The Barn (via The Peace Garden), 31-32 High Street - opposite Andrew Barclay Butchers, Wincanton BA9 9LF.

Time: 9am-11:30am Friday 3rd May 2019.

We will be giving away samples of our delicious cakes and bakes for you to try - and we make the best lemon drizzle in town! There will be crafts for sale, as well as a great selection of plants, locally grown seasonal fruit and veg, locally produced preserves and honey, free range hen’s eggs, duck eggs, guinea fowl eggs and Keen’s cheddar cheese and butter. There will also be a raffle to win an amazing hamper, packed with a selection of our products.

Have you ever tried pheasant plait, wild boar sausage plait, coffee and walnut cake, ginger and lemon cake, almond squares, homemade shortbread or three-fruit marmalade? We’ll have samples of these and many more. We also do gluten-free and will have samples of our amazing gluten-free lemon drizzle cake and our gooey gluten-free chocolate cake.

We take orders too. Email us on: .
