The Wagtail is filling its events and entertainment calendar

The Wagtail is a family eating pub in Wincanton, just off the A303, next to the Travel Lodge. Nathan Wray, General Manager, took over in June 2019 and is working tirelessly to make this a great venue for families to congregate over lunch and dinner.

Nathan continues to add more great events to his growing calendar. The Wagtail has already seen great popularity in its themed quiz nights, gin tasting evenings, and a recent Abba tribute night that sold out and was a huge success.

More themed tribute nights are planned, along with open mic and comedy nights, cocktail workshops, poker nights and bingo, to name just a few.

After a successful Christmas market, The Wagtail has another one planned for spring, and spaces are already filling fast.

The Wagtail has also started to offer private party bookings, seating up to about 70, depending on requirements, with full plated meals or buffet menus. Entertainment and decorations can also be arranged if required.

Open all day, we serve food from 12pm - 9:30pm (10pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Table booking is advisable to avoid disappointment, especially for larger groups.
