Local art class in actionIf you are looking for a change of career, to gain new qualifications, improve your health and well being or take up a new hobby then we probably have a learning opportunity for you.

Somerset Skills & Learning is your local provider of education, training and learning. We have 17 centres located in 14 different Somerset towns plus the use of village and community halls, so there should be something happening near you and there is plenty to choose from. The local centre is at King Arthur's Community School, Wincanton, Tel. 01963 31930.

The new Adult Learning Guide is packed with courses, training opportunities and work shops. Guitar for beginners, watercolour painting, Yoga, floristry, upholstery and computer courses for all levels of ability or interest are just some of the courses on offer in Wincanton. The new guide will let you know what, where and when things are happening in your area.

Somerset Skills & Learning are also one of the largest providers of apprenticeships and vocational training in the county and the guide lists the available opportunities. This year the new 24 Plus Advanced Learning Loan has been introduced to make training more accessible for adult learners at Level 3 or 4. This includes access to higher education, QCF certificates and diplomas, advanced and higher apprenticeships.

The Adult Learning Guide is out now in local centres, libraries and online and our courses are listed on the Calendar page of the Wincanton Window. Check out www.learnsomerset.co.uk for more details.
