Next PACT meeting: Tuesday 30th January
On Tuesday 30th January 2018, the Wincanton Neighbourhood Police Team will be holding a Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meeting at the offices of South Somerset District Council, Churchfields, Wincanton. The meeting will commence at 6pm.
As Neighbourhood Beat Manager for Wincanton, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend this meeting, as one of our key partner agencies.
Through the PACT process our local community have the chance to raise any issues or concerns they have with their local Neighbourhood Policing Team and partner agencies. We will work together with the community and our partners to take action and look to resolve these issues.
What is PACT?
Partners and Communities Together (PACT) is the process used by Avon and Somerset Constabulary and partner agencies to engage with communities to identify and solve the local issues that are affecting community safety, feelings of safety, and quality of life.
PACT has four elements
- Engaging with communities to identify and understand the local issues affecting people's safety, feelings of safety and quality of life.
- Setting local priorities and agreeing what needs to be done to tackle the issues with communities and partners.
- Police, partners and communities working together and taking action to solve these local problems.
- Providing feedback to communities on what is being done and what has been achieved to improve public confidence that we are dealing with issues that matter locally.
