Annual Fete Raises £2,190 for Wincanton Community Hospital
With the kind help of hospital staff, Friends and volunteers, Wincanton’s Community Hospital Annual Fete was a huge success, raising much-needed funds for the hospital and ensuring a fun afternoon for all who attended.
Playday Start Time Error
South Somerset have announced that there is an error in their poster for today’s Playday in Wincanton. The poster shows the event running between 10am and 1pm. The event actually starts at 1pm and runs through till 4pm. Please pass the word to everyone you know.
Wincanton Skate Jam 2015 VIDEO
Wincanton hosted its first Skate Jam back on 12th August, attracting participants from as far as Yeovil to the free youth day. Spectators were treated to a stunning show of acrobatic skills.

This year’s Nicholson Lecture is given by distinguished speaker Graham Mottram. It follows the careers of Lieutenant Rex Warneford and Squadron Commander Richard Bell-Davies, the first naval aviators to win the Victoria Cross, one hundred years ago.

The PTFA at St. Nicholas School in Henstridge is organising the Henstridge Village Fayre this Saturday, from 12.00 to 4.00pm. Plenty of fun and games, stalls, pony rides, silent auction and refreshments. Look out for Iron Man and Batman!
