Despite this year's more rigorous assessment procedures, 51% of King Arthur’s students achieved above the national standard of 5 or more GCSEs including English and Mathematics at grades A*C or 9-4 with 54% gaining standards for Maths and English.

Local author publishes First World War novel
Sarah Caundle, who lives in Templecombe, has just published her first novel. Her fiction explores the impact of the War on loved ones at home as well as the men at the Front, and was inspired by a visit to the Devonshire Cemetery on the Somme.

The Jar Family will be performing at Caryford Community Hall, Castle Cary on Saturday 29th July. At a recent gig at the David Hall, South Petherton they received a standing ovation and it was said to have been the best show at the hall in 14 years.
