Wincanton Town FC (Youth Section) in conjunction with AFC Bournemouth, held its first ever Soccer School on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd of August, at Maddocks Park, Moor Lane.

Over thirty youngsters between the ages of 6 and 16 turned out for the three days of the Soccer School to be coached by six members of AFC Bournemouth, led by Steve Cuss, Head of AFC Bournemouth Community coaching staff.

All the youngsters received non-stop expert football coaching by the coaching staff from AFC Bournemouth.

The AFC Bournemouth staff ensured all the youngsters had fun whilst learning new football skills and honing old ones.

And at the end of the three-day Soccer School each participant received a free ticket to watch AFC Bournemouth at a home game in September, and prizes were awarded to groups and individuals who had shown that they had given their all.

In addition to the Soccer School, starting in September AFC Bournemouth are joining forces with Wincanton Town FC (Youth Section), to provide a fortnightly Soccer Academy-style training evening on Fridays for all Members of Wincanton Town FC (Youth Section).
