The Wincanton Neighbourhood Plan has reached a milestone, and a public consultation has begun. This is an opportunity for local people to view the Draft Plan and give their comments. The Plan will influence the future of the town.

The consultation on the draft opened at midday on Wednesday 2nd November 2016 and closes at midday on Wed 21st December 2016.

The document is available to view online at www.wincantontowncouncil.co.uk along with details of how to submit comments. A copy of the Plan is also available to view in the Community Office (below the Town Hall and clock tower) during opening hours.

The Town Council has prepared the Plan for Wincanton under the powers in the Localism Act 2011.

Following the consultation, any necessary changes will be made before submitting the final Plan to the local Planning Authority for an examination and referendum.
