Wincanton Girls Football Win Fair Play Award

The Girls Under 12 Football Team won the Fair Play award this season. This award is given as a result of judgements made by referees and opponents that a team has shown a high level of sportsmanship in their behaviour on and off the field.

They went to a Presentation Evening in Bridgwater on the 17th June which was hosted by Somerset Football Association. There they each received a medal and the team a trophy and a cheque for £200 for them to spend on sportswear. This is the first time a team from Wincanton has won this award. Excellent example girls. Yiu are a better example than most of the pro teams that get paid shed loads of money every week. Keep up the great work. Don't change.
