The annual Wincanton Duck Race makes a welcome return for 2017, on Sunday 14th May, following a year off. It takes up its position next to the River Cale and the new play area in Wincanton's Cale Park. The fun begins at 1pm and will finish at 4pm.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch Donald, Dewey and Howard, among ducks with every other conceivable name race down the river. The ducks are available to buy at Our Lady's school at 3:30pm, or on the day, at £2 each. There will be six races followed by the ultimate final, and the lucky winner will be awarded with a prize and a few seconds of fame.

There will also be a bouncy castle, ice cream van and face painting to keep the children entertained. C.A.T.C.H. will be attending so you can see the important work they do to improve the river habitat. There will be various stalls including Stella & Dot Jewellery, Neals Yard and Partylite Candles to name a few, as well as charity stalls raising funds for their own worthy causes.

Come along for a family day out and enjoy this community event in aid of Our Lady's school. The weather looks favourable, even for ducks!
