Upcoming Partners and Communities Together (PACT) Meeting, 29th April

Friday 9 April 2010, 10:44
By Jenny Maynard

The next Wincanton PACT meeting will be held on Thursday 29th April 2010 and will start at 7pm in the Area East Meeting Room at the Churchfields Council Offices, Wincanton.

What is a PACT meeting?

PACT stands for Partners and Communities Together. The meetings are public and open to anyone living or spending time in a neighbourhood. They are designed to be regular meetings where members of the public can raise issues and vote on which issues should be a priority. A panel of key partners and stakeholders will then be given the task of taking action and will be expected to report on progress at the next meeting.

At our last meeting the priorities were:

  • Improve the CCTV System for the Town
  • Review the Recycling facilities in Wincanton with a view to improving them

Other issues that were also raised were as follows:

  • Station Road Pedestrian Crossing
  • Narrowing of South Street to prevent people parking outside the Natwest Bank
  • Speeding in and around Wincanton

Here are the minutes of our last meeting, Monday 4th January.
