Two Wincantonians Prosecuted for Bruton Hit-and-Run

Somerset and Avon Police have issued the following update regarding the hit and run incident in Bruton in October 2014.

A man and a woman have been charged in connection with the death of 84-year-old David Hick on October 14 in Bruton, Somerset.

Mr Hick died after he was involved in a fail to stop road traffic incident in Cole Road.

Robert Finlay, aged 47 of Rickhayes, Wincanton, has been charged with causing death by careless/inconsiderate driving, failing to stop at an incident, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and failing to report a road traffic collision.

Felicity Wheeler, aged 31, of Rickhayes, Wincanton has been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The Crown Prosecution Service has advised that a second man, aged 38 and from London, who was previously arrested as part of the police investigation, should be charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
