Nathaniel Ireson by Peter Fitzgerald, a talk at Wincanton Memorial Hall

Peter Fitzgerald has just had published his book on Nathaniel Ireson the architect, master builder and potter of 18th century Wincanton and on Friday 23rd of September he will be giving a talk on Ireson to the Museum and History Society in the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm.

From the book one can see that Ireson was widely admired and used to design and build a considerable number of grand houses across Somerset and Wiltshire and that he also set up a pottery to make Delft style ware.

Peter’s richly illustrated book shows how much time and thought he has put into researching Ireson and a chance to hear what he has learnt should be of considerable local interest, so do come along. £5 and £2 for members. Always refreshments so there is also time to socialise.
