South Somerset District Council is hosting a Digital Marketing Workshop tonight (sorry about the late notice!), Wednesday 24th October. The workshop will be based in a meeting room at the District Council offices building in Churchfields, Wincanton, BA9 9AG, starting at 6:30pm and ending around 8:30pm.
The event is one of several free events arranged and funded by SSDC's Market Towns Investment Group. The event focuses on the use of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as aides to help promote your business. The workshop will be led by guest speaker Giles Adams.
There was a time when only large companies had the budget to infiltrate wider markets, whether in different regions of the UK, or overseas. How things have changed: social media has levelled the playing field. Even a one-man business can look globally to win business, but understanding these new tools and using them to build your business isn’t always intuitive.
To encourage businesses of all sizes in South Somerset, SSDC has organised a series of workshops to help us understand, and use these specific elements of social media to enhance and build our businesses. Giles will share his knowledge and experience with the audience for a couple of hours.
The event is free of charge, but please try to register your attendance so that the organisers can ensure adequate facilities for the evening.
