Although no stranger to Wincanton where he has been regularly seen at the Discworld events organised by Bernard Pearson of the Cunning Artificer, we felt particularly honoured that he could come into the library and spend time with us before going on to Wincanton Sports Ground to be present for the Discworld football games and the publisher’s launch of his latest book, Unseen Academicals. This is the 37th in his Discworld series which have together sold some 35 million copies. We have many on our shelves and they are very popular with readers of all ages.

He charmed the staff with his wicked sense of fun, signed a copy of ‘Unseen Academicals’ for us and posed for several photographs which will be put on display for all to see.
