Staff and students at King Arthur's School, Wincanton, are reeling from a spate of thefts that have taken place after school hours.

Chris Beech, Headteacher, informed us that there have been three separate break-ins over the last few weeks, the latest taking place at the end of the Easter holidays with thousands of pounds worth of photography equipment and iMac computers being taken.

Mr Beech said, "This is devastating for the staff and students affected; all of the equipment taken is vital to those currently working hard to complete their GCSE courses. It is sad to think that the school has to divert resources to further security when we would obviously wish to spend on developing opportunities for students."

PC Andrew Brown from Wincanton police station has requested that anyone who may have information helpful to enquiries contact him on the new non emergency number 101, or you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The photographs here are taken from CCTV cameras during one of the thefts. If anyone has details as to who this person might be, again, please contact PC Andrew Brown.
