Clothing growing children can be very expensive, as any parent can tell you, but a new shop at 32 High Street, Wincanton, has a neat solution.

Babes2Teens is the latest shop to open in town; it occupies one of the small units refurbished by our friends at the local Quaker organisation. Margaret Whelan is the first tenant.

Babes2Teens brings a simple but innovative service to Wincanton and district by offering a range of children's clothing and toys for sale at reasonable prices, covering (as the title says) babes to teens. The innovation comes in the shop's other service: when your children grow out of their clothes you can bring them to Babes2Teens and they will display and sell them for you on a simple 50/50 split.

Margaret opened Babes2Teens on Saturday 19th October and has been trading steadily since then. This is a true start-up business on a very small budget. She doesn't have any shop front signage as yet, but that will come in due time. She is concentrating on getting the right balance of product and spreading the word.

Margaret says that she will be joining the other High Street shops in opening late on Friday 6th December for the late night shopping and Christmas Extravaganza. She looks forward to seeing you all on the night.

If you want more information you can visit the shop in the High Street, or contact her on her mobile 07707058991.

Shop Opening hours:

Monday 11.00am – 4.00pm
Tuesday/Friday 10.00am – 4.00pm
Saturday 10.00am – 2.00pm
Sunday CLOSED
