Scraptors Sculpture Trail Opens at Stourhead
Four sculptors, Paul Boswell, Fiona Campbell, Rachel Mcleay and Anthony Wilson have created a sculpture trail at Stourhead entitled 'Beyond the Garden Gate'. This is something not to be missed, particularly by families. Open daily all September this exhibition gives us all an added reason to visit this fabulous National Trust property.
The New Wincanton Film Society Season Approaches
On Tuesday 20th September 2011 the curtain goes up on the new season of films being screened by the Wincanton Film Society. WFS is Wincanton's own home grown cinema. All are welcome. Buy a season ticket or pay on the door.

Bruton Art Society Exhibition 2011
To be held for the second time at Bruton School For Girls the Bruton Arts Society Exhibition again promises to provide a high quality display of the work of local aritists who are members of the Society. The Society's 58th exhibition opens August 20th and closes on the 28th.
Work Nears Completion for Stourhead Sculpture Trail
Work is well underway and nearing completion for the Scraptors, a collaborative sculpture group of four West Country sculptors, who are creating a Sculpture Trail at Stourhead for September.

Scrap - The New Alchemy
Pylle Motor Spares - long established in the scrap business - have become art patrons! They have donated scrap to the Scraptors, who scavenge incessantly for material for their artistic sculptures.
Rakes, Rogues and Gentlemen of the 18th Century
Hendrika Foster, the well-known local History of Art lecturer, will give an illustrated talk about Hogarth's London at Stourton Memorial Hall on Thursday 12th May at 6.45 pm. Tickets at the door £10 to include wine and light refreshment.
Wincanton Choral Society Concert on Sunday May 15th
Wincanton Choral Society will be performing Haydn's oratorio "The Creation" on Sunday May 15th at 7.30pm in the Wincanton Sports Hall, King Aurthur's School.
